On 9/11, the world watched as two airplanes crashed into the twin towers of the world trade center, both of which collapsed shortly after. This much we know for sure, but for some, the cause of the collapse is still not so clear. Michael T Donly is a part of a group that says the two planes that hit the WTC twin towers could not have destroyed them.

President Bush was expected to sign detailed plans for a worldwide war against al-Qaida two days before Sept. 11 but did not have the chance before the terrorist attacks in New York and Washington, U.S. and foreign sources told NBC News.

The document, a formal National Security Presidential Directive, amounted to a “game plan to remove al-Qaida from the face of the earth,” one of the sources told NBC News’ Jim Miklaszewski.

The plan dealt with all aspects of a war against al-Qaida, ranging from diplomatic initiatives to military operations in Afghanistan, the sources said on condition of anonymity.

In many respects, the directive, as described to NBC News, outlined essentially the same war plan that the White House, the CIA and the Pentagon put into action after the Sept. 11 attacks. The administration most likely was able to respond so quickly to the attacks because it simply had to pull the plans “off the shelf,” Miklaszewski said.

The Netherlands and Nigeria will begin using body scanners on airline passengers following the attempted terrorist attack on a U.S.-bound flight on Christmas Day, authorities in both nations said Wednesday.

The millimeter-wave body scanners will be in place at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport in about three weeks and will be used on all passengers traveling to the United States, Dutch Interior Minister Guusje ter Horst told a news conference at The Hague.

“We’ve escaped a very serious attack with serious consequences, but unfortunately in this world there are individuals who do not shy away from attacks on innocent people,” she said.

Nigeria did not say when it would begin the new scans. “In combating the new threat of terrorism as unfolded recently, Nigeria will be upgrading its security screening system to 3D Total Body Imaging Scanner,” the country’s airport authority said in a statement. It gave no further details.

“Kurt Sonnenfeld: There were many things, in hindsight, that were disturbing at Ground Zero. It was odd to me that I was dispatched to go to New York even before the second plane hit the South Tower, while the media was still reporting only that a “small plane” had collided with the North Tower — far too small of a catastrophe at that point to involve FEMA . FEMA was mobilized within minutes, whereas it took ten days for it to deploy to New Orleans to respond to Hurricane Katrina, even with abundant advance warning! It was odd to me that all cameras were so fiercely prohibited within the secured perimeter of Ground Zero, that the entire area was declared a crime scene and yet the “evidence” within that crime scene was so rapidly removed and destroyed. And then it was very odd to me when I learned that FEMA and several other federal agencies had already moved into position at their command center at Pier 92 on September 10th, one day before the attacks!”

Separately Tuesday, President Bush today declared an emergency in Washington, DC in preparation for the Obama inauguration.

By declaring an emergency, Mr. Bush opened the door for D.C. to get additional Federal funding to deal with the unique challenges that will accompany the influx, reports CBSNews.com’s Brian Montopoli.

An emergency declaration doesn’t mean that a dangerous event has been identified or is expected to occur.

Federal authorities hope the new tip-sharing system overcomes a drawback of another version, which lets police report their suspicions to the FBI but doesn’t allow officers to search the system for similar patterns in other jurisdictions.

The program “will allow all law enforcement to share threats and suspicious activity and hopefully prevent a terrorist attack,” said FBI supervisor Gerald Rogero, in Washington.

President Bush has three words for Barack Obama to describe the biggest challenge facing America as they prepare to transfer power: “an enemy attack.”

Bush, who plans to deliver an earnest yet optimistic farewell address Thursday night from the White House, told USA TODAY that Americans’ ability to resume normal lives in the seven years since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks “does not diminish the threat that we face.”

In one of his last interviews before leaving office, Bush cited as necessary all the tools used by his administration to fight terrorism, such as tough CIA interrogation techniques and the Guantanamo Bay detention camp for terror suspects. Obama has vowed to end torture and close the prison in Cuba.

“The biggest challenge is to protect the American people. And he’ll find that that’s a big challenge,” Bush said Tuesday. “When you walk in this office as the newly sworn-in president … a responsibility just kind of envelops you.”

Most likely, the world will witness a reality show with a nuclear blast, which will be used as a reason for the US administration to change the world order again and leave the new Great Depression behind. There is every reason to believe that the Russian Federation may suffer as a result of this possible initiative too.

Joe Biden made a sensational statement on October 19, 2008. He said that Barack Obama would have to undergo an ordeal during the first six months of his stay in the White House. It will be the time of a very serious international crisis, when Obama would have to make tough and possibly unpopular decisions both in home and foreign politics.

Biden said that there were four or five scenarios for the development of the international crisis. Afghanistan, North Korea or the Russian Federation may become the source of one of them.

When Obama learned of Biden’s speech, he tried to explain everything with rhetorical exaggerations. However, Biden’s remarks gave food for thought, taking into consideration the fact that former secretary of state Madeleine Albright described his remarks as statement of fact.

Apparently, the political elite in the United States is certain that their nation would soon suffer another mammoth terrorist act. This assumption became the subject of Michel Chossudovsky’s article “A Second 9/11„: An Integral Part of US Military Doctrine.”

The independent analysts presented a selection of statements, which US top officials released during the recent several years. For example, Michael Chertoff, the Homeland Security Secretary, said at Yale April 7, 2008 that modern technologies let even a small terrorist group kill hundreds of thousands of people. Dick Cheney stated May 26, 2008: “Nobody can guarantee that we won’t be hit again.”

I’ve seen this mentioned several times in the news recently, that [cue dramatic music]…White Supremacists are infiltrating the US military in order to gain access to weapons and training!  The thing is, this is nothing new at all, nor is it restricted to White Supremacists.  In fact, the first I ever heard about this type of activity was related to Crips and Bloods-  black street gangs.  So I wonder, why the emphasis on “White Supremacists” now?

White supremacists in the ranks?

Another reason for concern according to activists is the revelation that there have been attempts by members of White supremacist organizations to infiltrate all branches of the United States armed forces, some of whom might be chosen for deployment in the cities.

Military officials said they do their best to weed out individuals with White supremacist affiliations and beliefs.

“You’ve always had White supremacists in the armed forces,” Ms. Hill said. She believes the military is doing its best to prevent these recruits from entering so they would not be accused of “facilitating” this type of military training. “The White supremacist mindset is dominant in the military anyway,” she said.

A draft study by the panel warns of growing threats from rogue states, nuclear smuggling rings and the spread of atomic information in the developing world, the newspaper reported.

The panel, the Commission on the Prevention of Weapons of Mass Destruction Proliferation and Terrorism, singled out Pakistan as a grave concern because of its network of terror groups, history of instability and nuclear capabilities, according to the report.

“In our judgment, America’s margin of safety is shrinking, not growing,” the newspaper quoted from the draft report.

Federal authorities have received a “plausible but unsubstantiated” report that al Qaeda may have discussed targeting transit systems in or around New York, the Department of Homeland Security said.

“These discussions reportedly involved the use of suicide bombers or explosives” on subway or passenger rail trains, according to a joint Homeland Security and FBI statement issued Tuesday.

“We have no specific details to confirm that this plot has developed beyond aspirational planning, but we are issuing this warning out of concern that such an attack could possibly be conducted during the forthcoming holiday season,” the statement said.

The FBI and Department of Homeland Security said they had no further information on the threat.

“We are working closely with the U.S. intelligence community, state and local law enforcement and homeland security officials to vet and corroborate this reporting, and will continue to investigate every possible lead. We’ll provide updates as we obtain further information,” the statement said.

The public should remain vigilant and report suspicious activity to authorities, it said.

Al Qaeda has the means to launch such an attack, said CNN senior international correspondent Nic Robertson, who has covered al Qaeda extensively since before the September 11 attacks.

“The al Qaeda-affiliated groups are still willing to make these attacks,” Robertson said. “What we’ve seen in the past is, they’ve become capable of making these homemade bomb devices with detonators and exploding them by cell phones or by suicide bombings.”

However, he said, it also would be possible for al Qaeda to plant false information.

The military’s top strategic officer warned Friday that terrorists or other nations may try to take advantage of the transition period between the administrations of President George W. Bush and President-elect Barack Obama to strike or otherwise threaten the U.S., but he said the Defense Department is being vigilant against that possibility.

“At every transition, there comes risk,” said Air Force Gen. Kevin Chilton, commander of U.S. Strategic Command, speaking at the Air Force Association’s Global Warfare Symposium in Los Angeles. “It’s not a risk of who gets elected; it’s just a risk of change [and] how our adversaries around the world look at our vulnerability during that time period.”

Obama takes office on Jan. 20, but it could take months for him to assemble his entire team and for them to hit their stride. Rumors have swirled recently around Washington that Obama might retain Defense Secretary Robert Gates for a time to ensure continuity in national security issues.

Chilton, one of the military’s 10 combatant commanders, pointed to several examples of international incidents or attacks against the U.S. that have occurred shortly after a presidential transition: President John F. Kennedy’s confrontation with the Soviet Union regarding Cuba that began in 1961, the first World Trade Center bombing and the conflict in Mogadishu, Somalia, shortly after President Bill Clinton took office in 1993, and the Sept. 11 attacks under Bush in 2001.

“This may be all coincidence, but I don’t think so,” Chilton said. “Nor does our chairman [of the Joint Chiefs] or our secretary of defense accept that it’s pure coincidence.”

Foreign Policy Journal has learned that senior executives of a major U.S. international corporation may have been warned to leave New York on September 11, 2001.

According to an inside source, one of the senior executives of the corporation told him beforehand that “something big” was going to occur and so other corporate executives would be travelling out of New York.

The source, who spoke to the Journal on the condition of anonymity, worked at a European branch of the media giant Warner Bros. He served as the number two under the managing director of that office, a man with whom he had developed a close personal friendship. His boss was also friends with one of the senior executives at the head office in Los Angeles. According to the source, he had been told by his director that the executive in L.A. had formerly worked for the CIA and still kept in touch with the agency.

It is not an uncommon practice for the CIA to recruit business executives, particularly individuals who do a lot of international travelling and might be able to use their business contacts to gather information.

McConnell indicates that there is always some sort of “surprise” that takes place after a new president takes office, and yet I have to wonder why, if this is the case, it hasn’t received as  much air play in past elections.  I think they are priming the pump…

The top U.S. intelligence official is warning the country will be especially vulnerable to security threats during the first months of a new presidency.

Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell delivered a speech Thursday in the southeastern city of Nashville, Tennessee highlighting security threats and challenges the country will likely face in the next two decades. McConnell said there is always a surprise soon after a U.S. president takes office. He cited terrorist attacks during the first year of the Clinton and Bush administrations.

McConnell said conditions are favorable for terrorist groups to grow in number and influence in the Middle East and other areas well into 2025. He said advances in science and technology will give these groups the ability to carry out large-scale biological or radioactive attacks.

The spy chief also warned the United States will face a host of other challenges, including regional conflicts around the world and a shift of economic power from West to East. McConnell said if current trends continue, there will be a massive transfer of wealth and power to China, India and Russia. He said such trends will lead to a diminished U.S. influence.

McConnell also said nearly four dozen nations will face an unprecedented shortage of safe, reliable supplies of water by 2025, due to rapid population growth and climate change. He said this lack of water will create significant tensions for world bodies and larger states.

McConnell said intelligence officers have provided briefings for both Republican candidate John McCain and Democratic nominee Barack Obama during the campaign.

Britain has warned of a high risk of a terror attack in the United Arab Emirates, the booming oil-rich Gulf state that is home to several million foreigners.

“There is a high threat from terrorism. We believe terrorists may be planning to carry out attacks in the UAE,” said a travel advice posted online by the embassy on Saturday.

“Attacks could be indiscriminate and could happen at any time, including in places frequented by expatriates and foreign travellers such as residential compounds, military, oil, transport and aviation interests,” it said.

It informed Britons in the desert nation that they should “maintain a high level of security awareness, particularly in public places.”

The pro-Western UAE is one of the top members of OPEC and in recent years has become a major regional tourist hub, attracting millions of tourists each year, mainly in the bustling city-state of Dubai.

While other Gulf countries have witnesses bloody attacks blamed on the Al-Qaeda network of Saudi-born terror mastermind Osama bin Laden, the UAE has not been targeted.

“We believe that threat to be high. It was a general threat before,” said a British embassy spokeswoman in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi.

“There are a number of factors that came into consideration. The threat level was raised and the travel advisory was amended to reflect that,” she told AFP.

OPEC kingpin Saudi Arabia has been battling a wave of deadly violence waged by Islamist militants since 2003, including attacks targeting foreigners and key oil installations.

Its impoverished neighbour Yemen has also witnessed several attacks claimed by Al-Qaeda.

The embassy said that over one million British visitors travelled to the UAE in 2006, and that more than 100,000 British nationals are resident there, the largest Western community in the country.

More than 80 percent of the population of 5.6 million in the fast-developing UAE are foreigners, according to figures for 2006 published in February this year.

The foreign influx ranges from poorly-paid construction workers, many from the Indian sub-continent, to hard-partying professionals.

Dubai, one of the seven emirates forming the UAE federation, attracts huge numbers of British investors who invest in its booming real estate sector.

With its skyscrapers, plush hotels, vast shopping malls and desert tours, Dubai has also become a popular destination for tourists.

Dubai is home to the tallest building on the planet, the Burj Dubai, which is currently under construction and due for completion in September next year.

The UAE sits on 97.8 billion barrels of oil reserves, which are ranked as the fifth largest in the world. Its economy is estimated to have grown by 7.4 percent in 2007, according to the International Monetary Fund.

It begins to hit you early on. There’s just too much coincidence. Early on you realize that it couldn’t have been Al Qaeda who did this. After all, high ranking members of the CIA say there was no Al Qaeda. After you have waded through the curious matter of Cheney refusing to scramble any jet fighters; Arabs who were supposed to be on the planes being found alive and well in their home countries, the five dancing Israeli Mossad agents, three high rise buildings coming down into their own footprints at the speed of free fall and the endless following connections… you realize… you should realize that what you have been told is not true. At this point you might go and see who owns the corporations that bring you the news.

Maybe you look into what followed afterwards. Maybe you study who was responsible for lying America into the Iraq War. Maybe you study who is pressing for an Iranian invasion. Maybe you observe the dreadful genocide being practiced on the Palestinians.
